Rat Operation
- Command for deployment (Auto or Manual)
- Up-lock releases
- RAT compartment door push open
- A spring-loaded actuator deploys the RAT
- Turbine locked in position until blades clear the aircraft
- Once clear, turbine lock released and start to windmill
- Governor maintains the constant speed
- RAT powers hydraulic pump and/or electrical generator
- RAT remains deployed for rest of the flight
